Great Dane adds western dealer

Feb. 22, 2013

Great Dane Trailers has added a new dealer in the west as it expands its full-service dealer network. Rocky Mountain Great Dane (also known as S&P Brake Supply) is headquartered in Billings, MT.

“We are delighted to have a partner like Rocky Mountain Great Dane in the western region, where nearly all market segments are benefitting from the domestic oil boom,” said Chris Hammond, vice president of dealer and international sales at Great Dane. “The Hoppman family has a long history of providing outstanding sales support and service to a wide variety of customers, so we look forward to the strong relationship with them and to expanding Great Dane’s reach to new customers in this key area.”

Since 1991, when Joe Hoppman initially purchased S&P Brake Supply, the business has grown from a Trailmobile parts dealer to a full-line dealer for Trailmobile, Western Star Trucks and Heil Tankers. Today, the family operates three service centers across multiple western states. Delivery is now available in northern Wyoming and central and eastern Montana.

“Our success is a result of a steadfast work ethic, a personal approach in serving our customers, and the family’s up-front principles for doing business. These are things we have in common with Great Dane, and we look forward to continuing our tradition of excellence with them,” said Matt Hoppman, general manager at Rocky Mountain Great Dane.

Rocky Mountain Great Dane’s main facility in Billings now carries the entire line of Great Dane trailers and is the home of a 45,000-sq.-ft. parts sales and service center with 10 drive-through bays for truck and trailer repair.
