John Christner Trucking commissioned two pink and lavender semis to heighten awareness for breast cancer and other forms of cancer. The brightly painted Kenworth tractors were delivered last week at the Sapulpa, OK-based truckload carrier’s headquarters.
The cancer awareness tractors are already popular among the company’s drivers, many of whom are asking to get behind the wheel of the unique rigs, according to a report in Tulsa World.
“A lot of drivers have already inquired about the trucks and we won’t have a problem getting them on the road,” said Daniel Christner, vice president & COO. “We’re trying to pick out some people who are good ambassadors and who will be good at telling people what we are doing, maybe even drivers who have had family members affected by cancer.”
The trucks were painted by the Kenworth dealership. Christner said there was a small charge to get the custom colors.
