Kentucky Trailer opens new service facility

April 26, 2013

Kentucky Trailer, a custom trailer manufacturer, has opened a new facility in New Hudson, MI.

The 46,000-sq.-ft. service and reconditioning facility is located 35 mi. northwest of downtown Detroit, near I-96. The company also has service and reconditioning facilities in Louisville, KY, and Los Angeles/Fontana, CA.

The New Hudson facility is equipped with 10 manufacturing bays, CNC brake press and shear, multiple overhead cranes, and two paint booths. Complete paint, repair and reconditioning services are available for trailer and truck bodies regardless of type or brand.

“Opening the new service and reconditioning facility fits well with the current and long-term growth objectives projected from the Walled Lake, MI, based division, Kentucky Trailer Technologies,” said Tom Smiley, inside sales manager at the KTT Division. “This strategic acquisition affords our Walled Lake team the additional production capacity needed to sustain its continued growth.”
