Kenworth of Cincinnati doubles in size after move to new location

June 1, 2015

Kenworth of Cincinnati has relocated about two miles north to a new facility that’s more than double the size of its previous location, the company announced. The new facility is less than a half mile north of Exit 44 on U.S. I-275.

The 45,000 square-foot full-service dealership, located at 65 Partnership Way near the I-275 and I-75 interchange, provides space for 11 drive-through service bays with the capacity to offer repairs and service for up to 22 trucks, plus a body shop, wash bay, paint booth and a driver’s lounge, Kenworth said. The Sharonville location also offers a 10,500 square-foot parts department complete with 7,500 square feet of warehouse space and nearly 3,000 square feet of parts display.

“We have seen tremendous growth in our Cincinnati area dealership since we started nearly 40 years ago,” said John Nichols, president of Palmer Trucks. The Cincinnati area dealership is among six sites under the banner of Palmer Trucks in Indiana and Ohio. It is also part of the Kenworth dealer network of more than 360 locations in the United States and Canada. “As the local economy grows, this new location provides us the ability to grow along with it, providing new and expanded services in response to our customers’ needs.”

“We are providing many of the same services we offered at our previous location, including leasing and rental services from PacLease,” said Greg Mills, Kenworth of Cincinnati general manager. “But we’ll be able to do it all under one roof, plus our employees will have a lot more room in which to work.

“Having 6.5 acres also gives us the room to offer drivers ample room for parking and maneuvering their trucks,” Mills added. “Plus, we can expand with more trucks and parts inventory as demand continues to grow.”

Kenworth of Cincinnati will host a grand opening of the new state-of-the-art dealership Thursday, June 25, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will feature a 12:30 p.m. ribbon-cutting ceremony, facility tours and lunch.
