Triangle Suspension Systems has released its second lightweight replacement leaf spring for the Mack Camelback suspension. This 62-143 version for 46,000 lbs. suspensions with 55-in. axle spacing saves approximately 300 lbs. per vehicle, Triangle said.
The new model is based on the earlier 62-147 model launched in 2010. Both springs are suited for a variety of vehicles including front- and rear-loading refuse trucks, roll-offs and dump trucks.
“Feedback from the drivers and installers continues to be very positive,” said Rick Kempski, Triangle president. “Everyone who has installed the spring has found it to be equal to or better than the standard spring in terms of load carrying, ride and stability.”
The new springs are designed to mate with all existing components, Triangle said, requiring only a shorter u-bolt.
