MHC Kenworth expands into North Carolina with dealership purchases

Nov. 14, 2012

Murphy-Hoffman Co. (MHC) has purchased 10 dealerships and 11 leasing locations in North Carolina from Cooper Kenworth and Cooper Leasing. MHC’s network now includes over 90 dealership and leasing locations across 11 states, it said.

“For more than three decades MHC has continued to grow, offering our customers more locations and award winning services,” said MHC CEO Tim Murphy. “We look forward to building upon that tradition as we support customers in our new locations throughout North Carolina.”

The North Carolina locations sell new Kenworth and Isuzu models, and offer used truck sales, parts and service for all makes and models. Locations also include full-service leasing operations through MHC Truck Leasing, which manages over 4,000 vehicles for a wide range of businesses. Facilities are located in Asheville, Concord, Clinton, Charlotte, Durham, Greensboro, Hickory, Raleigh, Rocky Mount and Wilmington, N.C.; and Olive Branch, Miss.
