A new axle from Dexter Axle will be incorporated into Felling Trailers’ FT-24 I trailer, the company announced.

The axle and trailer will be shown at the upcoming International Construction and Utility Equipment Exposition (ICUEE), to be held Oct. 4-6 in Louisville, KY.

The new axle is a 12,000 lb. #14 Torflex axle with independent suspension with rubber ride to eliminate steel-on-steel contact. Dexter also eliminated hangers, springs, and shackle bolts to improve axle life.

In addition, according to Felling, the #14 Torflex axle tube can be used as a supporting cross member and uses Dexter Axles’ standard 12K components. It can be ordered in five different degree settings.

The FT-24 I includes electric Dexter Nev-R-Adjust brakes, two 12,000-lb. axles, four 8-bolt plate wheels, rubber torsion Dexter Torflex suspension, adjustable Lunette eye, 12,000 drop leg jack, 10 19-lb. I-beam main frame with 3-in. I-beam crossmembers.

The deck width measures 102-in. OD and 81-in. ID with a 24.5-in. loaded deck height (26.5-in. unloaded). It rides on four 235/75R17.5H radial tires.
