Four new colors have been added to all Felling Trailer models for 2011. Each of the colors is produced by Hentzen Coatings, which supplies all the paint and primer for Felling.

New colors this year include Oklahoma orange and three metallic colors: platinum, charcoal metallic, and sparkle black. Other colors already available include jet black, traffic blue, Mack red, AG green, dark blue, highway yellow, construction grey, yellow, equipment orange, viper red, Omaha orange and white.

Hentzen Coatings supplies a two-component urethane paint technology that meets or exceeds current environmental regulations, Felling said.

The painting procedure for all Felling trailers includes a three-step process. First, they are blasted with steel grit to remove all rust and contaminants. Next, the entire trailer receives an electrostatic application of two coats of primer, three coats of polyurethane paint and a rust-inhibitive undercoat. Finally, the trailers are moved to a specially designed dust-free drying room to ensure proper drying before exiting the building.

Hentzen’s top-of-the-line urethane primer and high solids low Volatile Organic Compounds (V.O.C.) compliant urethane top coat are used on all trailers. The paints used are 3.5 V.O.C. compliant, hazardous air pollutants (HAPs) free, and both lead and chrome free.
