LAS VEGAS. A new lightweight fender designed to reduce road spray is being shown this week during the Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week convention taking place here.
The SprayOff anti-spray poly guard fender, from Betts Spring Co., is engineered to be lightweight, resist damage from corrosion, and cut road spray through “unique channel design,” the company said.
According to Betts, the unique design of the fender directs road spray away from the vehicle, resulting in fewer harsh chemicals, such as anti-icing chemicals, from hitting the vehicle and therefore cutting down on corrosion. Additionally, control of road spray increases both the vehicle operator and other drivers’ visibility, improving safety by reducing the chance of accidents, Betts said.
SprayOff accepts multiple top flaps, is assembled in standard or low-mount configurations which can be field modified.
