International gains new standard brake option

Meritor Wabco Vehicle Control Systems has reached an agreement with International Truck & Engine Corp. to be the standard hydraulic power brake (HPB) system supplier for its medium-duty models.

The HPB system is the latest of Meritor’s hydraulic actuation and anti-lock braking offerings. It provides full-power braking performance functions and electronic brake force distribution, Meritor said.

Automatic traction control is also available with the package.

HPB is now available on International’s RXT, 3200, 42004x4 and 4000 Series 4x2 models.
