Penske receives millionth Allison 3000 Series transmission

Allison Transmission has delivered its one millionth 3000 Series transmission. The unit, delivered to Penske Truck Leasing, has been specified in a Freightliner M2 chassis to be delivered to East Penn Manufacturing of Lyon Station, PA

Allison Transmission has delivered its one millionth 3000 Series transmission. The unit, delivered to Penske Truck Leasing, has been specified in a Freightliner M2 chassis to be delivered to East Penn Manufacturing of Lyon Station, PA.

“We’re very pleased to be in receipt of a milestone Allison 3000 series transmission,” said Brian Hard, Penske Truck Leasing president & CEO. “Allison and Penske have enjoyed a long and successful working relationship. We are fortunate to provide this leased vehicle to a valued customer like East Penn Manufacturing.”

A plaque commemorating the milestone transmission has been given to all parties involved, Allison said.

“East Penn has been specifying premium Allison automatic transmissions since 2002,” said Mike Dietrich, East Penn fleet operations manager. “We currently have over 50 Allison transmissions in our fleet. Allison transmissions have delivered the superior dependability and performance that our company needs so our trucks can deliver the highest level of customer service.”
