Cummins announced that it is remanufacturing ISX engines on a state-of-the-art production line at its San Luis Potosi, Mexico, plant. Every ReCon ISX is disassembled, inspected, remanufactured and tested to verify that it meets factory specs.

According to Allen Pierce, gm-parts & service manufacturing, “We've handpicked people at all levels, including several from the original equipment plant in Jamestown, NY, and brought them [to San Luis Potosi] for the duration of the implementation process…to provide the best in quality and value.”

ReCon ISX engines come with a 2-yr./200,000-mi. warranty. Current production is limited to engines produced between 1998 and October 2002. ISX engines with cooled-EGR subsystems will be available in the first quarter of 2007.
