The company's Tech Tip #30, which can be found at www.stemco.com, addresses the inspection, rebuild and reassembly of submerged wheel ends.

Stemco cautions fleets not to put any unit back into service that hasn't gone through a complete wheel end inspection and/or repair, as poor performance or failure of the entire assembly could result.
