Citgo Petroleum Corp. says fleets can extend their service intervals and improve fuel economy by using the new Citgo QuattraSyn synthetic transmission fluid. The product was developed to deliver higher performance in today's heavy-duty powershift and automatic transmissions, and will remain stable under severe operating conditions, according to the manufacturer.
QuattraSyn incorporates a blend of synthetic base stocks and special additives that Citgo says enable it to remain in the transmission system longer. The lubricant maker guarantees the quality of the fluid under its Citgo Synthetic Lubricants Warranty program that states if QuattraSyn fails to meet all stated standards and specifications, the company will cover all reasonable costs of repairs for all damages that are directly caused by the failure.
