P.S.I recognizes trailer makers for their role in company’s success

July 9, 2014

Pressure Systems International (P.S.I.), a global supplier of automatic tire-inflation systems that markets and sells its products in North America through Meritor as the Meritor Tire Inflation System (MTIS) by PSI, has recognized two major trailer manufacturers “for the significant role each has played in P.S.I.’s success over the past twelve months.”

Hyundai Translead was recognized with these two awards:

  • The 2013 P.S.I Athena award, given to the North American trailer manufacturer with the highest utilization of P.S.I.’s ThermALERT option, an early warning system available with the MTIS that alerts drivers of excessive wheel end heat.  “Hyundai continues to be a strong supporter of MTIS by P.S.I. by adding the system to a significant number of their trailers,” the company noted.
  • The 2014 “Best in Mid-America Show” award for displaying MTIS by P.S.I. on 100% of their exhibited trailers.

Utility Trailer Manufacturing Co. received P.S.I.’s highest honor, its 2013 Customer Excellence award, “for their leading contribution to factory installation units sold as well as aftermarket sales and service through their world class dealer network.”

P.S.I. also announced that it finished 2013 with record sales of its automatic tire-inflation system.  “P.S.I. had outstanding results last year and we are expecting even greater success in 2014 with the help of trailer manufacturers like Hyundai and Utility,” commented Frank Sonzala, P.S.I. executive vice president.

“The continued support we receive from trailer manufacturers with spec options as well as aftermarket retrofits have made MTIS by P.S.I. the most popular automatic tire inflation system in North America,” he added.
