Rihm Kenworth opens new location to expand service

April 10, 2015
Rihm Kenworth opened a new parts and service location in Lake Elmo, MN, to provide expanded service support to customers and truck operators in the greater Twin Cities metro area, the company said.“We are excited to expand our footprint in the Twin Cities to better serve our growing customer base here, and the growing amount of truck traffic moving across the Upper Midwest,” president and CEO Kari Rihm said. “Opening this new facility coincided soon after Rihm Kenworth’s 65th anniversary as a Kenworth dealer, a milestone we proudly celebrated in 2014.”Lake Elmo serves as a satellite facility for Rihm Kenworth’s flagship store in St. Paul, which is 20 miles west of St. Elmo. The 18,000-sq.-ft. Lake Elmo facility has six dedicated service bays and a wash bay that can also serve as two additional service bays as demand requires. It offers a 5,200-sq.-ft. parts department with a 600-sq.-ft. display area and 5,600 sq. ft. of parts storage, providing ample room for parts inventory. The new Lake Elmo location joins four other facilities under the Rihm Kenworth banner – Albert Lea, Sauk Centre, and St. Paul, MN, and Superior, WI.“We can provide a higher level of service to several transport companies and to contractors, pick-up and delivery couriers and food haulers,” Rihm said. “And since our location is so close to I-94, it will be easy for east and westbound truck drivers to find.”Jerome Barney, Rihm Kenworth’s corporate parts manager, will serve as the branch parts manager, and Larry Cornwell, Rihm Kenworth’s corporate service manager, will serve as the branch service manager.
