Yokohama launches new mobile website

Yokohama Tire Corp. (YTC) has introduced a new touch-friendly mobile website.

The site,, is designed to help consumers quickly access YTC information, the company said. The new design, which is different from the main website, loads automatically on smartphones and is optimized for use on their smaller, touch-sensitive displays.

“People want information quickly and clearly,” said Theresa Palang, YTC manager, public relations and digital marketing. “The innovative design gives our customers streamlined access to what they are looking for from Yokohama.”

The mobile site allows visitors to search for tires by selecting a driving style, year/make/model and tire attributes important to them; locates the nearest tire dealer with address, phone numbers, and maps; connects the user with Yokohama through Facebook, Twitter and YouTube; and features Yokohama motorsports coverage, including news, a race calendar and photo gallery.
