Auto Truck Group hires director of sales

Truck upfitter Auto Truck Group has hired a new director of sales-Western Region, and shifted the previous person in that region to the Eastern Region.

Jerry Cortese has been named director of sales-Western Region, replacing Matt McGowan, who shifts into the same role for the Eastern Region.

Cortese will be based out of Auto Truck Group’s Aurora, CO. His responsibilities will include 18 western states comprised of five sales regions. He joins the company with experience at both GE Capital and Federal Express.

McGowan will oversee four eastern regions composed of 30 states. He will be based out of the company’s home office in Bartlett, IL.

McGowan started as a sales manager with Auto Truck Group in June 2009. He also served as fleet sales manager for the northeast sales area and was responsible for maintaining relationships with the major fleet management companies.

“Jerry will be a great addition to the Auto Truck Group sales team,” said Dennis J. Jones, vice president, Sales & Marketing. “Together, I anticipate Matt and Jerry will play an integral role in Auto Truck Group’s continued growth.”
