EPA’s OTAQ director to deliver keynote address at HTUF conference

Christopher Grundler, director of the Office of Transportation and Air Quality for the U.S. EPA, will give a keynote address at the upcoming High-Efficiency Truck Users Forum (HTUF) National Meeting.

The meeting will be held Oct. 7-9 in Chicago.

Grundler and his team are responsible for establishing and implementing national emissions standards for transportation fuels and vehicles, as well as a variety of off road equipment. OTAQ is continuously evaluating a wide variety of advanced technology strategies which have the potential to reduce harmful emissions and fuel consumption, HTUF said.

HTUF’s National Meeting is a gathering place for fleets, truck and bus OEMs, suppliers and industry stakeholders dedicated to accelerating development and commercialization of high-efficiency trucks and buses. The meeting is centered around an enhanced Ride & Drive at Chicago's famed Soldier Field, featuring:

  • MPG driving challenge
  • US DOE’s Green Racing Lab
  • Technology showcase
  • Open and closed driving courses
  • Over 30 advanced trucks and buses
