Flagship on parade

Aug. 1, 2012

Peterbilt Motors Co. is touring its new flagship—the Model 579 tractor—at more than 40 Pete dealer locations throughout the U.S. through November. The OEM said the “Legend Continues Tour” will allow dealers and customers to experience first-hand all of the new truck’s features and benefits via a 53-ft. double-expandable trailer holding some 1,000 sq. ft. of display space. Peterbilt said the climate-controlled trailer includes kiosks and displays that highlight the Model 579’s “innovative design features, technology and performance leadership.”

“This tour is designed to showcase the new Model 579 as well as share the excitement with our customers and dealers,” said Bill Kozek, Peterbilt general manager. “The 579 is the most innovative vehicle in Peterbilt’s history, providing our customers the highest quality product, with superior aerodynamics, unmatched comfort and exceptional reliability.”
