Oct. 8, 2012

Bradley K. Blackshear, the owner of Q&B Trucking of Macon, GA, was arrested and charged with stealing 21 box trailers that were discovered at the lot of a local recycling company, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s office.

Metal theft investigators from the sheriff’s office found 21 stolen commercial box trailers on the property of KT Recycling, 1773 Jeffersonville Rd. in east Macon last Thursday, according to a news release from sheriff’s Lt. Sean DeFoe.

The recovered trailers had been stolen from several counties in Georgia. An investigation found that Blackshear sold all the trailers to KT Recycling over several months this year, according to the release. Parts of other stolen trailers that had been scrapped also were found on the property.

Blackshear has additional holds from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, the Dooly County Sheriff’s Office, the Butts County Sheriff’s Office and the East Dublin Police Department where he will face additional charges involving the stolen trailers, according to the release.

Blackshear’s bond was set at $46,400. The investigation is ongoing, and additional arrests are possible.
