Schneider bumps owner-operator pay for bulk division drivers

Schneider has increased pay for more than 2,100 owner-operators in its bulk division, effective March 3, 2014. The pay rate has been increased 10.5 cents per mile for both loaded and unloaded miles.

In addition, Schneider Finance, a wholly owned subsidiary and Schneider’s truck leasing and sales arm, has immediate inventory of tractors spec’d for new and existing tanker owner-operators.

Schneider’s tanker division recently added 60 owner-operators in its chemical transportation business to meet increasing demand.

“This is a great time for experienced drivers to become owner-operators and for owner-operators to join Schneider,” said George Grossardt, vice president and general manager of Schneider’s Bulk division. “Schneider is the fastest-growing tank carrier in the industry because of the outstanding service our owner-operators and drivers provide. Customers see value in shipping with Schneider, and our growth is our drivers’ gain – if you’re looking for strong, steady settlements or paychecks, the place to be is Schneider.”
