The Truckload Carriers Assn. is hosting a webinar on May 14 that will discuss the e-screening and pre-clearance processes.Part of the Truckload Academy Educational Series, the webinar, titled E-Screening vs. Pre-Clearance: Do You Know the Difference?, is free to TCA members thanks to sponsor HELP Inc. The registration fee for nonmembers is $219.Jim Subler, Classic Carriers president and HELP Inc. board member, will present the differences in the systems. Joining Subler will be former Chief of the California Highway Patrol Steve Vaughn, now HELP’s national director of field operations. The speakers will also examine the use and security of collected data, the benefits of screening commercial vehicles, the effects of federal regulations on the use of each system, and the future of electronic screening.
