U.S. Xpress named Truckload Carrier of the Year

March 13, 2012

The National Shippers Strategic Transportation Council (NASSTRAC) has named U.S. Xpress Enterprises its Truckload Carrier of the Year.

The award is determined through a survey of NASSTRAC members, who are mid- to upper-level transportation and supply chain decision-makers, the organization said. Carriers are ranked on a qualitative scale on customer service, operational excellence, pricing, business relationship, leadership and technology.

“NASSTRAC’s goal through this program is to encourage high performance by carriers through this shipper-based recognition program,” said Eric Morley, NASSTRAC’s current chairman and senior director – supply chain of Best Buy Co. “Shippers and carriers alike see this to be a very credible program through which appropriate industry recognition is given.”

U.S. Xpress will be officially given the award and recognized for its achievements at the 2012 NASSTRAC Logistics Conference and Expo, to be held in Orlando, FL, from April 29 to May 2.

“At U.S. Xpress we are committed to living out our brand promise of focusing on what matters most,” said Max Fuller, chairman & CEO, U.S. Xpress Enterprises. “Because this award is a result of direct feedback from shippers themselves, it is not only a great honor but proof that our efforts are making a real and positive impact on our customers and the industry in general.”
