Marcio Pedroso has been appointed president of Volvo Financial Services (VFS), Region the Americas. He succeeds Leo Hawkes, who retired after 13 years with VFS.Pedroso will lead VFS operations in Region the Americas, which includes Canada, the U.S., Brazil, Mexico, Chile and other Latin American markets. He will report to Scott Rafkin, president of VFS Global.Pedroso has been with the Volvo Group since 2001. During this time, he has held various senior leadership roles with business responsibilities for Brazil, Chile and Mexico.Since 2010, Pedroso has been a member of the VFS Americas executive management team, and he has served the past four years as president of VFS Latin America. “His focus throughout his career has been bringing VFS closer to its customers and to the talented people who make up their dealer network,” VFS said.As president of Volvo Financial Services, Region the Americas, Pedroso will lead financing operations for all Volvo Group business channels in the region, including trucks, buses, construction equipment and marine and industrial engines.
