The Houston-Galveston Area Council will be hosting the 2011 Clean Fleet Technologies Conference (CFTC): Fueling the Choice, on Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2011.
The conference is part of the council’s Clean Cities/Clean Vehicles program. It will focus on the importance of reducing air pollution through deployment of clean fuel and advanced vehicle technologies.
Among the topics to be discussed are how to efficiently and safely move people, goods, and services; current federal funding for fleet projects that demonstrate cost-effective emissions reductions; and alternative fuel refueling stations.
There will also be vendor exhibits, clean vehicle displays, and test drives available. Speakers will include representatives from the Railroad Commission of Texas, the University of Houston, and Isuzu Motors.
The conference will be held at the Humble Civic Center, 8233 Will Clayton Parkway. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. with the conference beginning at 8:30 a.m. There will be a reception from 3-4 p.m. Cost is $60 per attendee.
