GE Security’s NavLogix GPS-based mobile management system provides fleet owners with real-time analysis of when and where a company’s vehicles are being used, allowing them to better monitor the fuel efficiency of their drivers, according to GE Security.
The company added that NavLogix will increase employee productivity by facilitating vehicle schedules, thereby shortening routes between jobs and reducing unauthorized vehicle use by drivers. Customers will be able to view a vehicle’s location and route through their web browser, receiving email alerts about after hours use or speeding vehicles.
Units can be mounted inside every vehicle in the fleet, connecting to the vehicle’s power supply and going into active mode whenever the ignition is turned on while GPS satellites communicate with the onboard unit to determine the vehicle’s location, speed and direction.
