Henry Popplewell, a long-time industry executive in the areas of transportation and wireless communications, has joined SkyBitz as senior vp of sales. The trailer and asset tracking company has also named Siamak Azmoudeh, formerly of Pegasus TransTech, as its new senior vp of product line management.
Popplewell is a veteran of Ryder Systems Inc., where he was vp of national sales, and served the same role at Nextel, helping that company develop a wireless data system for transportation and other business customers.
Azmoudeh has more than 25 years of management experience in fleet operations and transportation electronics, including the tank-truck carrier Quality Distribution and the former Rockwell International’s Land Transportation Electronics business.
