East Manufacturing Corp. unveiled its new MMX all-aluminum platform at the Mid-America Trucking Show. The trailer is rated to handle concentrated loads of up to 72,000 lb. in 4 ft. (on a 48-ft. trailer). This maximum rating can be obtained by spec'ing East's optional concentrated load package.

According to East, selecting this option makes the MMX the lightest weight yet strongest aluminum platform trailer ever produced.

The new unit will be offered in lengths up to 53 ft. East says cargo restraint was a high priority in designing the trailer. Thanks to a system dubbed Securetight, the MMX meets or exceeds all the proposed sections of the North American Cargo Securement Standards.

The MMX also boasts East's Securelight completely enclosed wiring system.
