International Truck and Engine Corp. announced new options and upgrades to its vocational product line at the ConExpo-Con/Agg show to better meet the needs of the construction market, said Bill Six-smith, director of severe service marketing.
First, the OEM is adding a sleeper cab option to its 5900i so drivers can have extra cab room for rest periods during long days at the job site. The sleeper cab option offers 58 in. of floor-to-ceiling height, 70 in. of shoulder room and 18 in. of belly room, along with a large wraparound windshield and an optional larger rear window for increased job site visibility.
Caterpillar Acert engines are also now being made available for International's 5000 Series trucks this year.
International is expanding its integrated dump program so customers can use International dealers as a “one stop shop” to save time and money. Joining original partner J&J Truck Bodies are Rogers Manufacturing Co.; Crysteel Manufacturing; Warren; and GinCor Industries.
