DAT moves to the Internet

DAT Services has launched a Web-based version of its freight exchange network for fleets. DAT Partners (www.datpartners.com) allows fleets to access the company's freight-matching services, including its real-time Alarm Match, over any Internet connection for a monthly fee.

Other services on the new site include a business directory, credit reports, and historical freight-lane activity for the previous 12 months.

A separate, Internet-based freight matching service for owner-operators has also been launched by DAT. Like the fleet site, DATinternet (www.datinternet.com) is subscription based.

Peterbilt Motors Co. has put its truck accessories catalog online at www.peterbilt.com. The searchable web catalog offers descriptions and photos of more than 30 product lines, including chrome exhausts, mirrors and quarter fenders. It also includes a locator to identify the nearest Peterbilt dealer for purchase and installation. A printed version of the catalog is also offered.
