A message entered once by a dispatcher can be sent over a variety of mobile communications systems with Symphony, a new interface for McLeod Software's LoadMaster Enterprise transportation management system.
Based on Java technology, the new interface currently supports Qualcomm OmniTRACS, Aether Systems Mobile Max and Terion FleetView wireless systems. Symphony support for PeopleNet InTouch, @Track Communications and Qualcomm Fleet Advisor systems will be available by mid-summer.
The flexible interface will allow TL carriers to easily try new communications hardware and services, as well as add advanced services in the future.
Like LoadMaster Enterprise, Symphony is platform-, operating system- and database-independent, and will run on AS/400, Windows or Unix systems.
