PeopleNet has wrapped up several tasks into a single, paperless driver/vehicle workflow solution that provides real-time management for fleets. The product was developed by EBE Technologies on its SHIPS platform.

“Our new workflows automate repetitive, labor-intensive tasks,” said CEO Ron Konezny in making the announcement during the Truckload Carriers Assn. Annual Convention. “They're tickets to more accurate business processes that improve vehicle and driver performance, compliance, safety and customer service. It all adds up to a better performing fleet and greater profitability.”

The workflows will provide real-time management of driver performance, violation management, DVIR (driver vehicle inspection report) and CSA management, PeopleNet said. In developing the solution, EBE's SHIPS platform will integrate PeopleNet data with other third-party systems.

One of the features is that the system is capable of sending performance letters to drivers and/or managers as needed based on the data it compiles. When a driver falls behind the fleet-set thresholds in a given category, the system will notify the driver through a portal and schedule a meeting, suggest training exercises, and/or recommend disciplinary action as warranted. SHIPS software monitors the tasks through to completion.
