Workhorse Custom Chassis says its new QuickSpex program makes spec'ing walk-in trucks for specific vocational applications easier for all sizes of fleets.

QuickSpex is focused on vehicles for baking delivery, snack food delivery, linen services, construction work, newspaper delivery, parcel delivery, utility service and government services. QuickSpex also facilitates ordering general-purpose walk-in vehicles through Workhorse's existing FastTrack program, which provides a “one-order” process with one warranty for integrated walk-ins.

“We have extensive experience when it comes to spec'ing trucks for specific vocations,” said Tim Longdon, vp-marketing. “We have translated that experience into an easy spec and order sheet that enables dealers and fleets to quickly order the optimum walk-in configuration for their particular use.”

In other news, the company said it is offering the latest generation of General Motors Vortec gasoline engines in its '04 model year chassis and walk-in trucks. Available are the Vortec V8 4.8-liter (LR4) and 6.0-liter (LQ4) engines. The LR4 provides 270 hp. at 5,200 rpm and the LQ4 is rated for 300 hp. at 4,400 rpm.
