Delphi Corp. has released a version of its Forewarn Back-up Aid for commercial vehicles and says it will be joined by a module for blind-side monitoring later this year. The radar-based back-up system can sense objects up to 16 ft. away and is not adversely affected by heavy rain, fog, snow or dirt, according to Delphi. Delphi Corp. has released a version of its Forewarn Back-up Aid for commercial vehicles and says it will be joined by a module for blind-side monitoring later this year. The radar-based back-up system can sense objects up to 16 ft. away and is not adversely affected by heavy rain, fog, snow or dirt, according to Delphi.

The electronics company has also announced that it will provide audio systems for Kenworth's 2003 trucks. Designed specifically for commercial vehicle environments, the systems will include AM/FM radios with cassette and CD playback, 6-disc CD changers, alarm clocks and infrared remote controllers. The units can also be used with either XM or Sirius satellite radio receivers.
