Intec Video Systems Inc. has available safety camera systems that reduce blind spots for operators of commercial vehicles. According to the company, the cameras are designed for mounting at critical points along the truck or trailer to give drivers clear views on a cab-mounted TV monitor.
Intec says the area that can be monitored by a single one of its cameras extends from the tailgate up to the sky and across three lanes of traffic.
Along with the cameras, Intec offers high-resolution, in-cab monitors that offer screen sizes from 4.5 to 9 in. Several cable options are available, including watertight connections for tractor-trailers.
Thermo King's AccuTrac temperature monitoring and tracking system for refrigerated cargo compartments ensures goods are shipped and delivered at the right temperature.
The AccuTrac data logger monitors up to four different cargo compartments. An in-cab display monitors each temperature zone and allows drivers to check the temperature of various compartments simply by pushing a scroll button.
Thermo King designed the AccuTrac primarily for in-city truck and van operations with frequent cargo door openings. The device fits into the standard DIN radio slot of most trucks and vans, but can also be mounted on the dashboard. Setting or changing recording parameters is done via a four-button keypad or through an onboard PC.
In addition to AccuTrac, Thermo King has three other data logging unit options available for trucks and trailers:
* The DMS-III data management system records and displays up to six operating temperatures and features out-of-range temperature and humidity alarms;
* The DRS data recording system provides 400 days of data storage at 15-min. intervals that can be downloaded to a PC or hand-held printer;
* The DAS data acquisition system verifies proper cargo temperature and unit operating events at 15-min. intervals and stores those readings for over a year.
