The Webb Co., a fuel system supplier, has unveiled a new fuel filtration device called the VorMax — cyclone filter-based technology designed to be used with any commercial diesel engine.

Webb says its patented VorMax design can extend traditional spin-on filter life by as much as four times, removing up to 97% of water and contaminants from diesel fuel before it reaches the secondary filter. That capability, says Webb, makes fuel filter replacement an annual instead of quarterly maintenance practice for trucks.

According to Webb, the VorMax system has a built-in filter restriction indicator to help maintenance technicians determine exactly how much useful life remains in the fuel filter.
