Symbol Technologies and @Road have agreed to jointly develop and market “e-logistics solutions” that will combine web-based management applications with handheld computers and wireless communications.

Vehicle tracking, activity reporting, dispatch management, maintenance scheduling and two-way messaging are among the web-based services.

The new alliance intends to integrate that service with Symbol's SPT1733 and PPT2733 handheld devices.
