The national highway safety program Share the Road, in partnership with Operation Interdependence (OI), recently delivered leftover non-perishable items to make care packages for U.S. soldiers serving overseas.

The donated items were transported by Share the Road drivers from a convention in Myrtle Beach, SC, to the OI distribution center in Houston. Volunteers from Houston, including members of the Navy, Marines and Air Force, were onsite on a Sunday morning to unload the tractor-trailer's worth of items so they could be arranged into the care packages.
