The Peterbilt Technician Institute (PTI) expanded with a third location in Exton, PA.

The Peterbilt Technician Institute (PTI) expanded with a third location in Exton, PA, Peterbilt Motors Company recently announced. PTI graduates approximately 100 students per year and places them into service technician careers throughout the Peterbilt dealer network, the company added.

“The Peterbilt Technician Institute is a great success for Peterbilt, our dealers and the many graduates beginning service technician careers,” said Darrin Siver, Peterbilt general manager and PACCAR vice president. “PTI continues to grow and we’re excited to add an additional location to help Peterbilt service departments provide unparalleled customer satisfaction with skilled, trained and certified technicians.”

The Exton school is approximately 30 miles west of Philadelphia. The other PTI locations are in Dallas and Lisle, IL. The inaugural 12-week PTI program at Exton began March 21.

PTI features classroom and hands-on instruction of total vehicle and engine diagnostics, maintenance and repairs. It also covers essential workplace topics such as customer service, dealership shop operations and laws and regulations.

According to the company, students graduate with bumper-to-bumper knowledge of commercial vehicles, including expertise on the complete lineup of Peterbilt trucks and certification on PACCAR engines. Upon graduation, students begin working in Peterbilt dealerships as service technicians.
