  • Allen Birmingham, national sales manager for Tommy Gate Co., is the 46th president of the National Truck Equipment Assn. (NTEA). The organization also appointed three members to its Board of Trustees. Jim LoPres, president & CEO of Auto Safety House, and Jeffrey Messer, president of Messer Truck Equipment, join as distributor trustees. Dave Zelis, director of sales and marketing for Buyers Products Co., joins as a manufacturer trustee.

  • Bob Costello, American Trucking Assn.'s chief economist, has been named to the Advisory Council on Transportation Statistics, which advises the Dept. of Transportation's Bureau of Transportation Statistics.

  • Rock Tyson has been promoted to vp-sales & marketing, for Ken-Tool.

  • MidContinental Chemical Co. has named Brad Craig and Russ Novosad to its sales staff.
