Timothy R. Kraus, president & CEO of the Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association (HDMA) and vp of the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA) was among the recipients of the 2007 Automotive Aftermarket Education Award from Northwood University. The award recognizes individuals who contribute to education of the automotive aftermarket industry.

Kraus, who joined HDMA and MEMA in 2004, is responsible for the overall business operations of the association and is its primary spokesperson, working in conjunction with other sponsoring associations on Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week (HDAW), which will take place Jan. 21-24 at the Mirage in Las Vegas. He will be in charge of program development of the HDMA HD Dialogue conference to take place on the first day of the event.

Prior to joining HDMA and MEMA Kraus held executive positions for over 20 years with Triseal Corp. and Phillips and Temro Industries. He has been active in the associations’ activities since the early 1980s.
