Automotive Resources International (ARI) has announced it is the first fleet management company to affiliate with SmartWay Transport, a public-private partnership between the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the freight industry aimed at saving up to 150 million barrels of fuel per year while reducing greenhouse gases and air pollution.
Among the ways ARI plans to reduce emissions are sponsoring green conferences and seminars and promoting proper vehicle selection, drive train configurations, and alternative fuel options.
“As a strategic fleet partner, ARI must be proactive in helping clients’ fleets align with corporate ‘green’ goals. ARI’s EnviroFleet Program addresses the needs of the growing number of companies whose fleets must support corporate ‘green’ mandates,” said Jim Creighton, vp of Global Strategic Services.
