Averitt Express, which launched a flatbed fleet with just 12 trailers earlier this year, has quickly expanded to more than 50 trailers with another 50 flatbed trailers on order to help meet demand.

Averitt, which provides freight transportation and supply chain management services, now has flatbed service in key markets that include Birmingham, AL; Atlanta, GA; Cincinnati, OH; Louisville, KY; and Nashville, TN.

“Customer feedback indicated a demand for flatbed services in several areas across our network, so it was a logical line extension for us,” said Phil Pierce, exec. VP of sales and marketing. “We’re excited about the success we've seen thus far, and we’re planning for even more growth in the future.”
