The Cambridge Vehicle Dynamics Consortium (CVDC) and Cambridge University will sponsor a four-day course on the dynamics of heavy-duty trucks, to be held April 23 to 26, 2007 in Cambridge, England.
The event will include a University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute (UMTRI) course on heavy truck dynamics, taught by Chris Winkler and Bob Ervin of UMTRI and Dick Radlinski of Link-Radlinski brake consultants. There will also be demonstrations of the CVDC’s computer-controlled experimental vehicle, hardware and software demonstrations, and computer simulation exercises.
The course is geared for people involved in truck design, equipment selection, fleet safety operations, accident reconstruction, and truck safety standards.
For more information, go to the CVDC web site or email Jonathan Miller at [email protected]. A discount will be given to those who register before February 28.
The Cambridge Vehicle Dynamics Consortium is a group of manufacturers from the heavy truck industry that has joined forces with engineers from Cambridge University to develop safer and more road-friendly heavy vehicles.
