Deeper tread depth and a cut- and chip-resistant compound for long, even wear and durability are among the key features of the new HDR1 drive tire released by Continental Tire North America.

The tire has a tread depth of 28/32nds and features long-mileage capabilities for regional haul trucks, said the manufacturer. With Continental’s stone-ejection technology to reduce retention of stones and penetrations to the tire’s casing, the HDR1 still maintains sufficient passage for water, ice and snow, the company noted.

The HDR1 is an all-position tire available in 11R22.5, 11R24.5, 275/80R22.5 and 285/75R24.5 sizes.
