CVGI names vision systems chief engineer

Truck component manufacturer Commercial Vehicle Group Inc. (CVGI) has hired Peter Whitehead as chief engineer-- vision systems.

Whitehead has extensive experience in global vision systems development and component sourcing in both the automotive and heavy-truck industries. As chief engineer at New Albany, OH-based CVGI, he will be responsible for working on several product lines, including the Moto Mirror, Prutsman and RoadWatch brands.

Before coming to CVGI, Whitehead served as principal engineer for Hadley where he was responsible for bus, RV and truck mirror engineering. He also worked as engineering manager with Britax-Wingard, where he led development activities for both mirror and fuel-systems products. He will report to Logan Mullinix, vp of CVGI’s research & development division.
