Decisiv is making it easier to integrate its fleet management products with third-party developers by expanding the capabilities of its Decisiv Service Management Platform (DSMP). The platform will now more readily accept telematics devices and other applications from third-parties.
“Service locations and fleet managers are inundated with information from multiple portals, web sites and information sources,” said Dick Hyatt, president of Decisiv. “With today’s solutions, silos of data and systems are now web-based. The technology may be different but the result is the same. By partnering with a broad and growing ecosystem of partners, and by seamlessly integrating with third party and OEM applications, including accessing real time information from telematics devices, Decisiv’s DSMP provides an in-context service initiation and management solution that greatly simplifies the service management process.”
Decisiv’s DSMP will now provide real-time alerts and information, including location, mileage, engine hours, and fault codes, gathered from outside products. That information will be automatically incorporated into the DSMP platform to open service events and initiate requests, Decisiv said.
Additional information is used to trigger repair and maintenance operations and to populate the platform’s date/time stamped electronic folder with fault codes and vehicle information.
For application providers, Decisiv has developed integration guidelines to exchange real time information to and from third party and OEM systems, including warranty information, recalls and service bulletins, as well as access to parts catalogs. Decisiv has also defined integration points to support payment processing and accounting systems.
