DOT slates meetings on CDLs, Medical Review Board

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Admin.’s (FMCSA) Commercial Driver’s License Advisory Committee will hold its fourth meeting July 11-12 at the Hilton Arlington in Virginia

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Admin.’s (FMCSA) Commercial Driver’s License Advisory Committee will hold its fourth meeting July 11-12 at the Hilton Arlington in Virginia. The committee will review its recommendations for changing and/or improving the CDL program, which must be submitted to Congress by Aug. 10, 2007.

Although the meeting is open to the public, there will not be a public comment period. However, written topics may be submitted ahead of time at www.regulations.gov or http://dms.dot.gov. Refer to Docket No. FMCSA 2007-27357.

In addition, a meeting of the agency’s Medical Review Board (MRB) has been scheduled for July 26 at the Sheraton Crystal City Hotel in Crystal City, VA.

The meeting will give the public an opportunity to participate in deliberations about the revision and development of FMCSA medical standards.
