Fontaine Modification Co., which provides truck modification services for OEMs, dealers and fleets throughout North America, has opened a new service center in Laredo, TX. The facility will provide post-production modification services for trucks built in Mexico, including some Freightliner trucks that were previously processed at Fontaine’s Garland, TX, service center.

“Our new Laredo service center is extremely convenient for the growing number of OEMs that are building vehicles in Mexico,” said Travis Greene, Fontaine Modification vp of operations, Southern Region. “It allows us to seamlessly integrate our services into the manufacturers’ truck production and delivery processes, while at the same time balancing the workload at our busy Garland center.”

Fontaine Modification operates seven service centers across the U.S. In addition to Garland and Laredo, the centers are located near OEM truck manufacturing facilities in Springfield, OH; Hagerstown, IN.; Charlotte, NC; Dublin, VA.; and Williamstown, WV. The Charlotte location also houses the company headquarters and Innovation Center for Research and Development.

The Laredo facility is the second new center Fontaine has opened in the last six months. The Williamstown center, which is dedicated to Hino Trucks, opened in fall of 2009.
